67 The Way Through Your HSE Coping Mechanism
October 09, 2019 | Posted by Heather Dominick
The power of a supportive community cannot be overstated, especially for HSEs. When dealing with traumatic experiences, we tend to want to analyze the situation and withdraw from others, “knowing” that we can handle it ourselves. But little do we know that the real healing comes not from ourselves, but from sharing these experiences with each other.
In Bonnie Badenoch’s book, “The Heart of Trauma: Healing the Embodied Brain in the Context of Relationships”, she writes, “trauma arises more from our sense of being alone with our pain and fear, rather than the actual event itself.”. There is a surprising way to move through your HSE Coping Mechanism into a place of healing and increased prosperity (and it’s not about using your head!)
