What if success didn’t require constant pushing, grinding, and burnout? Most business strategies are designed for a neurotypical, hustle-driven world—but that’s not your world. As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), your success comes from alignment, not exhaustion. So let’s do things differently.
HSP neurodiversity is a powerful asset in business, yet traditional success models rarely account for how deeply sensitive individuals process the world. Research shows that HSPs have increased activation in areas of the brain related to empathy, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. This means that we experience our environment more intensely—both the positive and the challenging aspects.
Instead of thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, HSP entrepreneurs often find success through sustainable systems, deep relationships, and creative problem-solving. But to get there, we must first release the myth that we need to operate like non-HSPs.
Highly Sensitive Women in History Highlight: Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo was a deeply introspective and emotionally intense artist, embodying the essence of an HSP. She felt the world—and her own pain—deeply, transforming her struggles with chronic illness, trauma, and identity into raw, symbolic art. Like many neurodivergent individuals, she processed emotions in a nonlinear way, using creativity as both an outlet and a means of self-understanding. Despite overwhelming challenges, she refused to conform to societal expectations, proving that sensitivity, when channeled with courage and authenticity, can be a powerful force for self-expression and change.
What’s Happening with Heather
Next week, I’m heading out of town to be in-person with half of my Business Miracles team. I’ve been hosting “Team Planning Weeks” since 2012. These in-person weeks are always so incredibly valuable, especially because we work as a virtual team for the other 51 weeks of the year.
Before the 2020 pandemic, the entire Business Miracles team would gather at a beach house for the week. Now, not every team member is able to travel, but for those of us that are able to come together, we get so much done—and have a great time doing it! We include time for creativity, self-care, and eating healthy meals together. The boost this provides literally lasts the rest of the year! It’s just one more way we do things differently in Business Miracles.
HSPs don’t have to follow the crowd to be successful.

HSP Business Tip: Doing Things Differently Isn’t Failure—It’s Leadership
Struggling to fit into business strategies that weren’t designed for you isn’t a personal failing—it’s a sign that you’re meant to lead differently. As a neurodivergent, highly sensitive entrepreneur, success comes not from forcing rigid systems but from creating ones that align with your energy, brain wiring, and way of processing the world. Here’s how:
👑 Stop following business strategies designed for non-HSPs. 👑 Recognize that structure and planning look different for you. 👑 Embrace community, core practice, and consistency for sustainable success. 👑 Develop systems that work for your brain, energy levels, and sensitivity. 👑 Give yourself permission to redefine business success on your terms.
When you stop measuring yourself against non-HSP standards and instead build structure, support, and strategies that work for you, struggle fades, and sustainable success follows. True leadership isn’t about fitting in—it’s about forging a new path that honors who you are.
Business Miracles Members Making an Impact
Name: Fidelma Greene
Title: Highly Sensitive Leader and Women’s Business Coach
“Since beginning to work with my 12-Month Business Leadership Goal, as Heather teaches, I am seeing remarkable progress. I’ve brought on a new client, completing my first quarterly benchmark toward this year-long goal, and recently, I charged for a small group event while also letting go of perfectionism. I’m asking for and receiving what I need, both in business and at home. I’m feeling calmer and less under pressure with selling, and I’m not pushing. Instead, I get to lead from my Highly Sensitive Strengths, and I’m having fun with it!”

Fidelma let go of struggle and instead created a calming success when she created and carried out her 12-Month Business Leadership Goal (something we do in The Highly Sensitive Leadership Program). This enabled her to create more income and impact with less effort!
