For many Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs (HSEs), selling can stir anxiety, confusion, and self-doubt. Traditional sales approaches often feel pushy, manipulative, or simply too loud for our sensitive nervous systems.

But as I teach in the Selling Success Leadership training, selling isn’t about pushing—it’s about serving. When you learn to “flip the switch” from fear to worthiness, selling becomes an act of leadership and service rather than stress.

This is the heart of confident selling for Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs—learning to lead from your values, connect with authenticity, and sell with both peace and purpose.

What’s Happening with Heather

Did you know that one of our top 12 HSP Shadows is “Digestive and Overall Health Issues”? I bring this up for two reasons:

  1. I’ve been hearing this as a common theme amongst pre-Business Miracles-member HSPs I’ve recently been connecting with as part of our Business Miracles Clarity Call process. Each of these HSPs so desperately want to change their business and life experience—more freedom, more income, more peace—yet are so concerned they won’t be able to take the actions needed to create this “more” experience because of significant health issues.
  2. I’ve been managing some significant health issues myself recently.

So, I thought it would be valuable, <Name>, to share some of what I shared with these pre-members… In 2015 when my body first started rebelling against all the ways I had abused it for years (as a result of not realizing I was a highly sensitive person) I felt like my world was ending. How would I keep up my HSP Shadow tendency of Perfectionism if my body was literally betraying me? In hindsight I can say that was the start of my 2nd wave of a dark night of the soul.

What I learned, and now deeply know, is that when we use the body’s signals and messages as an excuse to feed our HSP Shadow of Over-Protection or HSP Coping Mechanism of Hiding, to say, “I can’t”, we are actually missing an opportunity to heed the wise advice the body has for us. The way the body is inviting us to change.

Now all these years later, I know better and so I do better. I choose to flip the switch on the conventional narrative of “sick”. This latest health challenge has already given me my next level of mastery when it comes to discerning uses of my time, how I use my voice and leaning into support more than I ever have before rather than falling prey to all or nothing thinking.

As for those pre-Business Miracles-member HSPs? Well, they’ve begun their Highly Sensitive Leadership journey by becoming Business Miracles community members and already their hearts and minds have been opened WIDE regarding what’s possible to create as an HSP in business and leadership without sacrificing their health.   1. Place your hand on your heart and take a deep breath before each client call.
  2. Recall your “flip word.” Choose the supportive opposite of your original fear-based feeling—like calm instead of anxious, or trust instead of doubt.
  3. Ask yourself: “What do I need to feel grounded and open?”
  4. Commit to five minutes daily of this practice—no matter what.

Remember: consistency is more powerful than perfection. Each time you return to this practice, you build new neural pathways that support confidence, calm, and connection.
